Alex Alvarez, Professional Dog Trainer

Alex Alvarez

Alex Alvarez is one of our Professional Dog Trainers, is PET CPR trained and currently pursuing his CPDT credential.

Alex began his training career teaching bloodhounds how to properly track 8 years ago. Then in 2007 he went on to training service dogs for a non-profit called New Horizons. He finally found his calling in training adopted shelter dogs to become service dogs for disabled veterans at the D4DV (Dogs for Disabled Veterans) nonprofit. Before joining our team in January 2016, Alex was teaching new trainers how to train service dogs.

“Since starting with AYP I realized just how much I enjoy helping people better their lives and relationships with their dogs through the art of positive reinforcement training. I love how I can make a positive difference in their lives.”
