Congrats on enrolling in one of our group classes! Group classes are designed to help you and your dog learn, improve, and perfect your obedience and manners skills in a controlled environment around other dogs and people. Because class is open enrollment, we recommend that once you begin classes, you attend consecutively for five weeks.
Class is held at our indoor, air conditioned Applause Your Paws’ Canine Training Center located at 4423 SW 74th Avenue, Miami FL 33155.
A few things you need to know for class:
- Your instructor will lead the class and you will have plenty of time to ask any and all of your questions before or after class
- You should always maintain a 5 foot distance between your dog and other dogs in the class until your instructor gives permission for dogs to interact
- We recommend that you only feed your dog a small amount of his/her meal prior to class so that your dog is food motivated for training
Things needed for training:
- 6 foot Leash (no retractable leads!)
- Treat Pouch
- Long line (15 feet)
- Treats
- Training collar

Safety:
- We take every precaution we can to ensure a safe experience for humans and doggies
- We trust that you are keeping up to date with your dogs vaccinations and that your dog is friendly! Group classes are NOT designed for aggressive dogs. We offer other programs for reactive or aggressive dogs
- We require you wear closed toed shoes during class. No heels (they damage our training floor)
Health:
- Should you notice your dog has diarrhea, a runny nose or is lethargic you should not bring your dog to class until you have seen your veterinarian.
